On September 24, MindLabs hosts a new edition of its annual community event: MindLabs Meets. Each year, this event brings together researchers, businesses, governments, civil society organizations and students to explore the societal impact of emerging technologies.

This edition centres around the academic collaborative center REDES (Resilient Democratic Society) at Tilburg University. Together, we dive into one central question: how can AI and digital technology contribute to a resilient democratic society?

The theme is especially relevant in 2026, marking 70 years since the term artificial intelligence was first introduced during the Dartmouth Summer Research Project. Seven decades later, AI and interactive technologies have become deeply embedded in daily life, reshaping the way we communicate, govern and make decisions.

MindLabs Meets offers a space for knowledge exchange, reflection and collaboration. Through talks, discussions and real-world cases, participants will explore themes such as social trust, cyber resilience, digital sovereignty and cultural heritage in the age of AI.

By connecting science, society and innovation, MindLabs Meets aims to strengthen the dialogue around technology and its role in building a future-proof and resilient society.

The program consists of keynotes, interviews, workshops, breakout sessions, and interactive expieriences. Together, we will not only explore the challenges of AI, but above all the specific steps we can take towards a resilient society.

Where will the event take place?

The event will take place at MindLabs, Tilburg, at Locomotief Boulevard 101.

Is the location easily accessible?

The MindLabs building is just a two-minute walk from Tilburg Central Station.

Are you coming by bike? If so, you can park it in the NS cycle park opposite the main entrance.

Are you coming by car? If so, you can park in the covered Zwijsen car park, a three-minute walk from the main entrance, for a fee.

Can I specify any dietary requirements?

Yes, when you purchase your VIP ticket, you can specify any dietary requirements whilst personalising your ticket.

The FREE ticket does not include catering, so it is not possible to specify any dietary requirements.
